SpinFeeders and SpreadFeeders (Spreading feeders)

SpinFeeders and SpreadFeeders are almost identical in design, the SpreadFeeder having the addition of a semi-enclosed feed plate so as to make the distribution of the food directional rather that the SpinFeeders, which an all-round spread.

Both feeders are based on the same geared drive motor so as to provide both the high torque required to start the feed plate spinning and to minimise food drop immediately under the feeder at both the beginning and end of the food cycle.

Adjustment of the spinning food plate is by a stainless steel winged nut with locking washer running in a M8 threaded motor drive shaft of the same material.

The below picture shows only the SpinFeeder version of this feeder, one of which is mounted in the black hopper adaptor which is essential when the feeder is to be used with either our 15 or 80 litre polyethylene food hopper.
