Feeders, 12 and 24 volt ac/dc
Aquaculture Equipment Limited manufacture a range of
feeder types, all of which are available in choice of food hopper capacities of 5, 15 and 80 litres, although not all
hopper sizes are appropriate to all feeder types.
VibroFeeders
This range of two differently adjusted vibrating type feeder operates by
simply shaking food from the food hopper and is probably the most versatile
feeder available at it's price.
It is capable of delivering almost all types of dry powdered, granulated and
pellet diets and is simple to operate as well as being low in price.
VibroFeeders are adjusted for food delivery size and quantity by screwing a
feed plate either up or down the threaded body of the feeder so as to either
increase or decrease the gap through which the food must pass.
After adjustment, the feed plate is simple locked into position by a hand
tighten barrel nut on VibroFeeder 1 or by a stainless steel winged fastener on
VibroFeeder 2.
VibroFeeders are manufactured of ABS and polypropylene with stainless steel
and plated brass fasteners and have a 1 metre long two core flexible electrical
lead.
Input voltages available are 12 or 24 volt ac/dc at approximately 9 watts.

PlateFeeders
PlateFeeders dispense food from a slowly revolving plate mounted
horizontally below a food hopper, assisted by a spring loaded scraper bar which
runs from the centre of the plate to just passed the outer edge, and are very
popular for smaller powdered and granulated diets since very small amounts of
food can be delivered per feed cycle.
They are simply adjusted for food size and to a lesser degree, quantity of
food delivered per cycle, by adjusting the gap between the revolving feed plate
and the bottom rim of the hopper turning the feed plate up or down the threaded
shaft of the drive motor and locking with a stainless steel winged fastener.
PlateFeeders are constructed of mainly uPVC with brass and stainless steel
fittings and are available in a choice of speeds from 1 to 16 RPM in 4 motor
options and a choice of 12 or 24 volt ac/dc at less than 4 watts.

SpinFeeders & SpreadFeeders
These two feeders are very similar since they use the same motor and gearbox
system but vary only in that the SpreadFeeder is semi-enclosed so as to give a
directional spread rather than the all-round delivery of the SpinFeeder.
Adjustment of both feeders is via a screwed stainless steel driven motor
shaft and similar tapped spinning feed plate using a stainless steel winged
fastener as the locking device making them fully adjustable for both food size
and quantity delivered per feed cycle.
SpinFeeders and SpreadFeeders can be used with most granular and pellet
diets but are not recommended for powdered diets which cannot be distributed
well by this type of feeder.
The distance food can be thrown by these feeders varies according to the
size of diet and the distance the feeder is mounted above the surface of the
water. However, a SpinFeeders will throw pellet diets up to 6 metres in all
directions giving up to 12 metres of distribution and a SpreadFeeder around 5
metres in an arc of around 90 degrees.
